How to play Shafkat Runner
Shafkat Runner is a free endless runner. Bolt, a small rooftop robot, runs on his own across a neon city at night. You only control the jumps. The longer you survive, the faster Bolt runs.
Controls
- Jump: tap the game, or press Space, ↑ or W.
- Higher jump: hold the button down. Release early for a short hop.
- Double jump: tap again while in the air (once per jump).
- Pause: P or Esc, or the pause button. The game also pauses if you switch tabs.
- Sound on/off: M or the speaker button.
2-player mode
Race a friend on the same phone, tablet or computer. Choose 2 Players on the start screen, and the screen splits into two lanes: Player 1 (teal robot) on top and Player 2 (orange robot) below.
- Player 1: press W, or tap the top half of the game.
- Player 2: press ↑, or tap the bottom half.
- Both players get exactly the same course, so it's a fair race.
- A 3-second countdown starts each race. If one player crashes, the other keeps running until they crash too.
- The higher score wins, and the game keeps count of matches won until you close the page.
On a phone, hold it between you and give each player one half of the screen. Both players can tap at the same time.
Obstacles
- Crates: jump over them. Some come in pairs, so jump early.
- Vents: tall pipes that need a proper, held jump.
- Gaps: the spaces between buildings. Falling in ends the run. Use your double jump if you jumped too early.
- Drones: they hover at head height. Stay on the ground and run underneath, and don't jump into them.
Scoring
You earn points for every bit of distance you cover. Each energy orb adds 25 bonus points. Your best score is saved on your device.
Tips
- Save your double jump. It's your emergency button for a mistimed jump.
- Watch for drones before you jump. A drone straight after a crate means a short hop, not a big one.
- Jump late over gaps. Take off near the edge to land safely on the next roof.
- Don't chase every orb. Surviving is worth more than one bonus.
